Hi,

Is it possible to link the contacts we have in one of our public folders on
the Exchange Server 5.5 SP3 to an internal HTML page on our IIS server?

Thanks!
Kris

Sure I think so. Make an account in Exchange called Internet Guest Account.
Give it a mailbox and access to the public folders. Now contacts are usually in
the Mailbox but if you have them in the Public Folder I think the same process
would work.

The shortcut to the Mailbox contents for the contacts is:

http://yourserver.com/Exchange/Anonymous/Contacts/?Cmd=contents

This will show all the contacts. Somehow I configured the Exchange OWA so that
Internet Guest Account and Anonymous are the same thing. Don't recall how I did
it but there it is. The Internet Guest signs in as Anonymous. And has access
to the public folders.

But all I got was "The page cannot be found"

You need to have permissions set up correctly and an account/mailbox with access
to the Public Folders. For example in OWA the user is Anonymous (same as
IUR_MachineName) and this is the link. Accessible from anywhere in the World.

Here I do not have a contacts folder in the Public Folders but I have a Calendar
folder. Maybe it is difficult putting a contacts folder in. If that is the
case why not just set up an Anonymous account accessible through the Web then
it's Contacts folder could be used for what you want?

In any case using OWA from Exchange 2000 this is the link to the Calendar:

http://localhost/public/hesterTalk/Calendar/?Cmd=contents

My Public folder is called hesterTalk accessible to anyone. Uses account
IUSRMachineName has permissions to the Public Folder. You'll need to watch this
as Exchange 2000, Windows 2000, and IIS 5 has a nasty habit of removing the
Anonymous account. This link should work for you just by nameing a Public
Folder applicable to your organization; definitely not hesterTalk I presume.
If you get access denied that is good. Just give permissions to the correct
account. If you get 404 file not found then it seems to me you are not set up
correctly.

But maybe not:
