IIS - Windows Admin Issue

We have IIS 5.0 configured to integrate password changes
using the IIS HTR page extensions, and it has been
working great for prompting users to change passwords
when we select "change password upon logon" in Win2K. The
HR application we've using this with is being upgraded
and now has a Portal that submits the credentials in a
form. The required change is no longer working, and the
Portal returns an error.

I'm looking for any options to continue requiring
password changes, but to use the Portal as the first
entry point - or to have IIS redirect to the appropriate
HTR page if a password change is required. Custom
programming is an option if necessary, but I am mostly
familiar with Java.

I am not sure if you are working Sharepoint Portal Server but I think you
