This is my dilliema. I am running Win2K Advanced with IIS 5.0. This machine
handles several websites that use ASP (in fact all of them do) and a SQL7.0
backend (different machine). I have been seeing for the last 2 - 3 months
that the AspQueue in performance monitor gets out of control along with ASP
requests (this reaches about 50/sec and then halts). The CPU hovers at about
60% when this occurs. This takes everything down, which is getting very
annoying. My questions are:
1. Should I adjust the ASPProcessorThreadMax? Could it be causing this
blocking issue?
2. Are there any utilities to help determine which and what ASP/COM or
whatever can be starting the problem? Could it be a
problem with the coding?
3. Any other thoughts?
This seems to happen purely at random, with no reason or logic behind it.
Thanks,
Seth Mall
