this might seem a bit too obvious....

I've got an IIS6 web server now running SSL, and the box has an SSL
accelerator installed.
Will IIS automatically use the accelerator or do I need to do anything
specific?

I'm guessing it's being used automatically, but can't find anything to
confirm that!

thanks in advance...

What is the name of the product? To me, it seems almost useless to
have a software application on the same machine do SSL acceleration.
The point of an SSL accelerator is to offload the SSL processing on a
separate machine so your web server has more free resources and thus,
can handle more traffic.

Hi Will,

We have a Cavium accelerator card which, as per my understanding, will
take the load of the SSL encryption/decryption off the core processor
and onto the installed board.
All diags are fine, and there is no noticable performance hit now it is
rolled out, so I think it must be working OK.

Thanks for your response.
