Search Form Examples???

Hello all. I'm hoping someone can help me out here.

I'm trying to find some decent examples of a .htm or .asp search forms
to query an iis 5 catalog. I just want to do a straight forward search
on the catlog and I'm trying to find someone decent examples to go by
or a site that might be able to expalain the complete process.
