NT4.0 SP3 - IIS4.0

We have multihosted web sites (several sites on one IP address,
differentiated by the host header "www.site1.com....www.site2.com...".

How can we get different FTP sites for each web address without separate
IPs for every FTP site service added in MMC?

The FTP service does not have a "host header" feature like the web site
properties to send ftp requests for various
"ftp.site1.com....ftp.site2.com..." sites using the same IP address..

Are we forever doomed to setting up separate IP addresses for every
virtually hosted website wanting their own FTP service directory?

Are we missing something...we have checked the MSKB, lurked in
newsgroups and web support sites, but found nothing on this topic...

Thanks!

Change the PORT number! The client must also use that same port number for
it to be accessed. We use port 21 as the default ftp site while others with
the same IP will start on another port say 10000, etc..

Hey Mike:

You should know better. Try putting an alias or cname record in your DNS
server. Then use the ftp logon name to map the user to a logon
directory.

By the way, I have an updated program for you.
