I just spent about three days trying to get the SMTP service to send
emails from the pickup directory. We had the pickup directory on the
E: drive. This is running IIS7 under Windows 2008. I had to get some
help from our technical support. First he moved the pickup directory
back to the C: drive, which is the default I guess. That seemed to fix
the problem, but we wanted it on E:. We moved it back to E:, and it
still wouldn't send. Then he told me he had turned UAC (User Account
Control) off. That seemed to fix the problem for us. Hope this helps
someone.
