We are using IIS4.0 on an NT4 server. Once we setup the server and put our
htm files in, it worked fine. When we put our ASP files in, it started to
ask us for a login when accessing ASP files. I can access them if I log in
with the Administrator user or any other user that has administrator rights
but not normal users or most importantly, not the IUSR_machinename. I
believe I setup all the permissions correctly and have anonymous access
enabled with the correct user name and password.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

I have the exact same problem. The login box always pops up, unless of
course your accessing normal HTML. It may have something to do with asp
files accessing certain dlls. Have you read this article...it may help.
http://www.microsoft.com/workshop/server/bugzap/tshoot.asp . There are no
login problems when "locally" I access the web using the localhost,
http://localhost/virtualdirectory/home.asp but when I use the actual web
address, the box appears. Please let me know if you've figured it out.
