What's the best technique to index the entire website so that I can provide
a search text box to the user, and the user can search for the contents of
the entire site?

MS Index Server isn't too bad from what I've heard.
If your site is all "Database driven" you could easily build your own Search
Engine

Yes, as a matter of fact, it is database driven. I'm looking for an
easy-to-maintain way of building our own search engine. Could you suggest
some tried and true methods?

Thanks.
