i am tring to creat a asp page that when i go to this page it sends a userid
and password from a different web and that web sends info back. the info
sent back will be display on the page

Soundls like you want to use the XMLHTTP object. You can
use it to "post" or "get" to an outside web server and
handle the results on your original page.
