I have an ActiveX DLL that was written in Visual Basic by a previous
programmer at my company. The problem is I do not have the source
code. Is there any way to decompile or reverse engineer this thing?
Thank you.

You can purchase VB decompilers..there are no freeware decompilers that I
know of.

I have never had the need for one, but if you do a trawl on the web for carl
and gary, they had a reference to a decompiler at their site. cant remeber
the exact URL for you.

Contact the programmer. He probably has a backup. And his copy will
include comments and notes, etc. Pay him for it. Make backups.
