I've had an on again off again problem on my Windows XP Professional
desktop wherein on bootup, the taskbar, Start menu, basically everything
below the line on top of the taskbar is totally inaccessible. Don't know
what causes it or how to stop it from happening but someone linked me to
a free download, being a VBS script that when run, fixes the problem,
and that's what I've been doing. I've probably run this 25-50 times,
maybe more. After running it I have to make a couple of adjustments to
get things the way I like them. Is it possible to tweak this script so I
don't have to make adjustments (1) and (2) afterwards?

Adjustment (1): I have to open Taskbar and Start Menu properties and
check the box [ ] Show Quick Launch

Adjustment (2): I have to move the Show Desktop icon to the far left,
where I'm accustomed to having it.

Here's the script:

'xp_taskbar_desktop_fixall.vbs - Repairs the Taskbar when minimized
programs don't show.
