Hi,
although this thread is rather old, it seems to be the right thread. I
have two questions: Recently I made the progress.exe sample run on my
localhost Windows 7 Beta 1 (astonishing). The website called used
basic authentication.

q1: Does the IAuthenticate also work with digest authentication?
q2: IAuthenticate does only allow you to substitute the pwd dialog by
a programmatical solution. Is it also possible, by any interface, to
intercept the basic/digest authentication progress of the IE by
providing a self made authenticator? I mean, I would like to get the
challenge and would like to build the AUTHENTICATE header. I know,
that this is possible with a proxy solution, but is it also possible
with a plugin or a helper object?
