I recently purchased a new computer with the 64 bit version of Vista. I have
installed Front Page 2003 on this machine. I am now having two issues with
Front page that I did not have while running it on Windows XP.
1. When creating a table with no border - the dotted line of the border
does not show up in the design view
2. I am not able to open one of the website I have worked on many times
before while on XP. When I choose File - Open Site- I get the error that the
folder isn't accessible....

Are there any updates or patches that I need to install for this version of
Vista to work with Front Page 2003?

Thank you for your help.

I have been using Front Page for 7 years and have developed one huge high
school website (over 100 pages) and two years ago upgraded to Front Page
2003. I plan to learn Web Expresions soon. BUT FOR NOW - when I open the
website files in Front Page - they have lost all format, color and pictures -
and have turned into letters of the alpabet and retangles. I tried to repair
my Front Page and it says I don't have a patch.

Are there any updates or patches that I need to install for Front Page 2003
(until I can learn the WE program, and where do I find them?

Well it is hard to see what you are wanting to change with the border unless
we can see the code. More than likely none of these problems have anything
to do with Vista. I would never recommend Frontpage as it just isn't as
user friendly as some of the other programs out there. I would reccommend
you switch to dreamweaver. Check ISOhunt.com. You can probably find it on
there. As far as your border it is probably conflicting with another
element on the page or you have 2 elements to closely together and it is
taking on the attributes of the other. Remember the one closest to the pin
wins in that war. I would image for your other problem that if you
transfered the file to a flash drive and then opened it, it should work.
More than likely you are finding these files in the old c drive. Remember
that when you upgrade Windows it doesnt delete your old files until you are
done transfering over what you want. You have to do that yourself. More
than likely your orginal file location for the file you are trying to open
is in your Old windows folder which vista wont open until you transfer it
over.
Hope this helps.
