Hi! I would like to get the IE5 for Solaris that you put on your ftp
site, but I can't find it. Did you take it off or did I need to do
something in order to see it? Thanks!

Eugrus,

It is there on my ftp site. And you can login anonymously for download.
Download it from a UNIX box, not Winblowz. I just tested it and it
worked. Let me know how it goes.

would be great.

Thanks

Yeah Carlos it can....but the only way I've been able to get it to work
on Solaris 9 boxes is to give someone my .microsoft and .mc directories
out of my home directory and place them in theirs. I will tar mine up.

just untar them in your home directory. I've gotta clean my settings
out and stuff, so give me a bit. There will be a homemc.tar on my ftp
site shortly. Just keep ftp'ing to my site and you'll see it when I'm
done and uploaded it to my ftp server. Get that and untar that in your
home dir, make sure your permissions are right, and you'll be good to
go. It will work then. Make sure you can do 24-bit colors or it won't
work at all. Enjoy!

Carlos,

I have too much stuff in my box that I can't delete. Sorry, but you'll
have to figure out how to get Solaris 9 to work by yourself. IT DOES
WORK. Just may require some tweaking.....Good Luck!

I need IE for Linux! Any ideas?

IE for Linux does not exist. There used to be IE for UNIX (MS does not
support it any longer). You may try to find it and recompile it to work on
Linux.

Yuriy

You could try codeweavers, but its probably not worth the effort.

Check out http://sidenet.ddo.jp/winetips/config.html

You will need wine. (http://winehq.org/)

Why not just wait until the next release of Netscape Navigator? It will
have the option of switching between the gecko and IE rendering engines.
The Solaris port of IE is old and very bloated. Running the Win32 version
under emulation is probably better but still kludgy. Is there a
particular application that you need to use with IE?
