Default problem with IE6

I recently downloaded Firefox but didnt not like it so I deleted it. Now ie
is not my default browser and I cant open certain things. on the search bar
the "e" isnt even there its a box with the windows logo in it. I cant open
cdroms that need ie too work because it searches for firefox.exe which is no
longer on my computer. how do i fix this???
