Hello,

In Outlook Express 5.5 and later 6, I setup two accounts, the first is set
as default.
But when I reply an email, the field "from" is set on the second account by
default. This accound is even the 2nd alphabetically.

What's going on??

Thank for any help.

Outlook Express replies using the account that downloaded the original
message. If your two accounts are actually aliases for a single POP3
mailbox, then the 2nd account is probably being checked first and so it
is downloading all the messages. If this is the case, use
Tools|Accounts|<2nd account>|Properties to uncheck "include this account
when receiving mail or synchronizing". Then the 1st default account will
download them, and so your replies will automatically use that account.

You could also use message rules for each account not to download
messages addressed to the other account. Then all your replies will use
the proper account automatically.
