To ALL:

I am going to be formatting my drive and will be installing NT 4.0 on my
machine. What files do I need to backup so that when I reinstall IE5 beta I
will have my bookmarks, address book and all of my saved messages?

Thanks,
John Navara

Favorites -

usually c:\Windows\Favorites, but go to Favorites | Organize Favorites to
check the path for sure.

Address Book -

open the address book, and go to Help | About - it will give you the path to
your WAB file.

Mail Messages -

normally c:\Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Express\mail, but you
can check the Registry to be sure.

Your items in the registry will be lost. OL had the ability to import/export the rules wizard. I cannot find this feature in OE.
Backup your %ProfilePath%\Application Data, %ProfilePath%\Personal, %ProfilePath%\Favorites folders.
Your wab, ods files contain the Windows Address Book and OE5b2's mail and news items. These files could also be under ?:\Program Files\Outlook Express
