Links with THREE slashes??

Hi all,

At my school I've installed a "web"site for the English dept. on a Novell
server to teach the kids English and webbrowsing. Works fine withe IE3, but
since we've upgraded to IE4 and later 5, links don't work. Browser says it
can't find the URL. In the statusbar is an URL with THREE slashes, like
f:///Engels/site/jokes.htm.

I would be very grateful for any ideas/solutions.
