What's up is old computer was OS/2, came with lotus notes.
New computer is windows 95, IE 4, outlook express.
Guy wants to take the mail from notes and move it to the win95 machine and
put it in outlook (the os/2 machine will eventually be rebuilt with NT, i
guess, but for now he's not wanting to lose any old mail.) Address book
isn't needed, but it'd be cool if that could be brought along too.
There appear to be tools for more common mail programs in outlook express.
There appear to be tools for the big boys that cost lots of bucks. The guy
can get notes from his office but what they give him wants to connect back
to the office to use that mail system (and although I work with Notes at
work as well, i don't have to mess with the setup much and don't know enough
about that to know where to go to stop that...)
Is there anything for the small time user that can get the data from a notes
database into something outlook can use?

This site also has some references for move mail messages. One option for
the messages is to forward them to an account that Outlook Express can
access. But this does modify the messages, and is a lot of work if a lot of
messages.
If you find anything that can convert to Netscape or Eudora mail format,
Outlook Express can import that.
