The shadows lift, the darkness fades
-and if for faith you pray-
God always grants the miracle and sends another day.

Just a better scan of Dox Nairobi. One of my favorite photo opportunities!

Barry,
You certainly did your home work on Doc O'Lena. Dox Nairobi is a "chip off the
old block". He didn't get a white anklette, but he certainly go the Doc O'lena
head and body. Dox is a fine cutting horse, and does a good job in a reining
event as well. He has sired some nice young horses.

I would not laugh at your team penning. I do that once in a while. It is a
great event. Lots of social interaction and it is usually fairly casual. I
like that. I think Dox would like it too, but I doubt the mares would behave,
so he doesn't get to go...

My sincerest and humblest apologies for assuming the rump behind that fine
head was anything less than the magnificently muscled, full rounded rump of an
American Quarter Horse.
His daddy's record is quite impressive.

I really liked the look and design of that fence, but the cost was twice that of
wood and the brown material is (at the time) only surface colored. I felt the
abuse fencing gets would result in white scratching. I ended up recreating the
"Rail thru Post" look by sandwiching 3 layers of 2 X 6's for posts and passing
the 2 X 6 rails through them.

The closest I come to cutting is team penning and you would laugh your butt off
if you watch me do that.
