I masked the image in the Email button you see below with the Rectangle 3
mask from the PSP Edges folder while it was 207 X 207 pixels large and
flood-filled the edges a charcoal gray, opened a background image 1024 wide
X 230 long and copied the masked image to the left side border, then I used
the Impressionist Filters, Style/Natural/Wild Cave Painting on the whole
thing...ran it through DCSpecial PatternEditDo to make sure it was seamless,
it wasn't (are they ever) so I used the clone tool over the seam and fixed
it bit by bit, I used the PatternEditUndo to get it back to normal and this
is what I ended up with..thought it was wild!

It's a filter from DCspecial which is free...it takes an image and inverts
it making the seams touch together so that with the clone tool, copy and
paste, softening tool, smudging or pushing you can use whatever method will
work for the image to render it seamless. After you fix the seams all you do
is use either the PatternEditDo or another filter in the set called Pattern
Edit Undo and the image will go back to the way it looked before you worked
on it to repair the seams but the alterations you did to it remain. You can
get it here (PatternEditDo is on the #1 set) along with the other 2 sets of
DCspecial filters, just go down this page and
find DCspecial 1-3: http://hem1.passagen.se/grafoman/plugtool/plugs.html
And you can go and do a quick tutorial to get the feel of what it does here:
http://hem1.passagen.se/grafoman/nuts/seamless/seamless.html
Thanks Mamselle!

Just wait till you start playing with all the customization options. Time to make some presets <g> BTW I have some custom brushes for the impressionist filters if you would like them. You might already have them, Joe posted them several months ago...

Thanks, Maria (yet again). Sven has just said they don't work with MIC...so
I'll wait until I see if I ever figure out PSP, and then d/l them...sigh.

fun...I have your brushes already, Sven..Joe sent them to me when he heard I
had installed MIC...thanks for offering, and I played with your brushes
already also<g> They are great!!!

Not much but the impressionist filters work with Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro,
Picture Publisher and most other programs that use plug-in filters. I
suggest you get one of the above keep the filters and lose MIC. g

Now I've heard that before from others. It only takes a little time and
practice to learn how to use either PSP, PP or any other program. None of
these require you to be a rocket scientist and are really as easy to use as
MIC. Just look at some of the people that use it successfully. vbg
