I just installed Windows 98 SE, and downloaded all the components for IE5
from MS Web Site. Including FrontPage Express, since I don't need anything
more for creating simple information pages for my intranet.
It works just fine, but it hasn't added itself to IE5 Edit Button. Still
when I press it, I receive Notepad only. On Programs Tab in IE
Tools/Internet Options, it is not listed in the list of HTML Editors. This
is why it's not listed in Edit button drop down list.
The same Frontpage Express in the office, but with Windows NT, has
registered itself OK! That's what pisses me off mostly.
I think somewhere in Registry there are keys that control program
registration in IE. Don't you know them?
Please let me know if you do. I want my FrontPage registered so I can use it
from Edit button.

In FPE Help I found where it says one should be able to edit your web pages
IF you have"the Web Publishing wizard" installed. Mine is installed but I
still cant edit from the page.
It seems to be a prob unique to Win98 SE, perhaps???
I am wary of messing around in the registry without specific instructions.
Max, if you find an answer, please email me... remove Xs for my email
address xbe...@home.com
I dont have your email so I'll have to post here if I find a fix.
