ghosted edit

This most likely is an ie5 problem, and I've already posted to several
newsgroups, and sent the prob off to M$ support with no answers.

Anyways all of a sudden now the edit button is always ghosted on ie5. I can
no longer use fpe on-line, only by firing it up off-line, or giving it a
URL then going from there.

Any idea on how to get it back to unghost status ?

This is just some additional info, I found that if I load a html page that's
on my HD, fpe's edit button does work. Only when I'm on-line does it ignore
the pages in the address bar.

To test this I saved a page to a ram disk, then loaded it , the edit button
says go for it and works.

But if the page is on-line ie5's edit button seemingly can't see the page
anymore..
