WANTED. HELP WITH GAME DRIVERS

I am trying to install a game called 'The 11th Hour' and seem to be having a
few problems that I hope someone out there can help me with.

Ok, I'll explain what I am doing and what happens when I try to install the
game. Please bear in mind that I am not a technical person so any help you
can give will have to be in easy to understand steps ( Think of me as a 40
year old kid !!!!! ).

My System

Pentium III 733 Mhtz
128 RAM
20 GB Hard Disk
Soundcard ( Unknown, how do I find out without opening up the PC )
Graphics Card ( Presumably there is one as other games work ok )

Hope this is enough information regarding system specification.

To install the game the instructions tell me to exit Windows to DOS ( shut
down to DOS ) and go to the D: drive.
I shut down to DOS and proceed to the D: drive.
At the D: drive I type in 'go' as instructed.

At this point I am shown the message as below.

UNABLE TO OPEN FILE DIG.INI
ERROR: COULD NOT INSTALL THE SOUND DRIVER FOR DIGITAL SOUND
ERROR: PLEASE CHECK THE SETUP USING SETSOUND
C:\GAMES\11H>

I did once, on my previous PC, manage to get past this stage and then had
problems with the display ( We will probably cover this later if you can get
me past this stage )

I type in SETSOUND at the C:\GAMES\11H> prompt and I am shown the following.

I select 'SELECT & CONFIGURE MIDI MUSIC DRIVER' and I am shown the

I am prompted to select one of the above so I select the first one on the
list and I am then shown the following.

1. ATTEMPT TO CONFIGURE SOUND DRIVER AUTOMATICALLY
2. SKIP AUTO DETECTION AND CONFIGURE SOUND DRIVER MANUALLY
3. SELECT A DIFFERENT DRIVER
4. HELP

Because I would have no idea how to configure the sound driver manually I
select option 1 and I am shown the message.

XMIDI SOUND HARDWARE NOT FOUND
CHECK DRIVER TYPE AND CONFIGURATION

I try this with all the MIDI DRIVERs listed above and get the same message.

At this stage, not knowing what to do next, I give up hoping that this
posting to the group would provide me with some further help.

TIA for your suggestions, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that between you,
you can help me crack this.
