ADD WINDOWS 2003 R2 6BIT TO WINDOWS 2000 DOMAIN

Hi,

I currently have two domain controllers, the Windows 2000 server holds all
the FSMO roles and the 2003 standard r1. I want to add a new windows 2003 r2
64bith machine to my domain. The R2 server will be a DC and run AD.

what do i need to do in order to make the R2 a DC and have AD running on it.
I dont have a problem joining our domain, but when attempt to run dcpromo on
the R2 i get a message saying i need to extend the schema.

our existing servers are 32bit will this make any difference to add the R2
64bit.
