Inch Ruler for Image Composer

It would be great if there existed a plug-in to allow an inch ruler to be
imposed around the work space area. Did anyone develop one or is there
another way existing? I use this program hours exeryday as I can produce work
faster than with any other program.

This might be a bit more difficult than you think - IC works on a screen and
was intended to create images for screen, therefore it is using screen DPI.
What inches do you expect to see? Printed ones? But you can print in
different DPIs too... For example in photoshop, I believe you choose a DPI
you will be working in during the file creation, so there it is easy.

As for the plugin, the IC plugin model allows only picture manipulation, not
extending the UI. One might create some application which would report
inches as are pixels in the status bar, but currently my favorite solution
would be to create the rules you need as sprites, and keep them somewhere.
Then every time you need a rule, just drag it to the workspace...
