Word 97 R-2 lost its "Edit" menu ??

Between file and view there is no edit pull down menu with cut and paste
etc? Any ideas how to get it back? Don't know when it disappeared.

Daniel,
try:
Run Winword 97 with the parameter /r:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\winword.exe" /r
Winword will new created in the regsitry.

Daniel: Click on View, choose Toolbars, choose Customize, click Reset, close
dialog box. That should put the edit menu back on the menu bar.
