Why will IIS work with localhost, but not with IP address?

My computer have windows xp sp2 with iis 5.1
if i give 127.0.0.1 or localhost it's ok if i give ip 192.168.16.2 (local
lan) i
got "Cannot find server or DNS error" Mycomputer wos part from a local
network with server windows 2000 sp4
but i login localy without server.

You should add the DNS servers IP of your ISP + the local IP of the defualt
gateway..

אין לי גישה ל website מקומי iis5.1 מהמחשב אצמו אם כתובת מקומי של ה lan
ip= 192.168.16.2 or 192.168.0.100
יש לי גישה אם ip= 127.0.01 or localhost
sp2: http port 80 open = firewall

כדי לא לסבך את עצמך השתמש בכרטיס רשת יחיד, וודא שההגדרות שלו נכונות דרך
ipconfig /all + הגדר את שם המחשב + כתובת ה IP בקובץ HOST FILE:

היום iis5.1 לא "מרגיש" גישה דרך IP= 192.168.16.2
iis5.1 "מרגיש" רק הגישה דרך IP= 127.0.0.1 OR localhost
