I am trying to determine what I am _really_ worth. I am a contract
programmer working through an agency as W-2. I get $30/hr. I graduated
college with a BS in Comp. Sci. in 1996 and have been programming since.

I was shocked to learn some kid working for the same consulting firm as me
is only 20 years old, no degree, does what I do, and makes $36/hr.

How much should I be asking for? I live in South Florida, and the job
market here is pretty good. I won't have any problems finding something
else.

Please mail replies!

Thanks!!!

A rather simplistic rule: keep bumping up your fees until somebody balks,
then bump them up a bit more slowly. :-)
