We have a problem that we just can seem to solve.
We have a NT server with IIS4 installed and ASPs won't work. For some
reason eveything goes dead when ASP tries to access the database. If
we're lucky we get:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
Login Failed
/efinfsis/login.asp, line 58
or sometimes just 'Unexpected error'.
Line 58 reads:
58 DataConn.Open Session("DataConn_ConnectionString")
We tried reinstalling IIS4, deleting/adding user and password to this
line, searched MS Tech support (none of the 'solutions' worked). We even
tried giving full access to anonymous...???! Has anyone had similar
problems?
Please reply ASAP by mail. Thank you.
Boky
I had similar problems with ASP which I cured by installing ADO 2.0 which
is available from the Microsoft web site. The little version is nearly 7Mb
and the full SDK is 37Mb.
