A prize of £250 is on offer to a student (or enthusiast) who can design a
small database system to help me keep track of suppliers, (their products and
price changes) to my small restaurant business. My business is run from home
on a 2 computer peer to peer network running Win 95. I have 4 coffee shops
supplied by 15 suppliers offering a total of about 300 products.

I will e-mail a full specification to all entrants (word 6 document) but
briefly I will need the system to do the following:

Have a simple to use front end that will enable editing of records (adding
products or suppliers, changing prices etc), sorting data to a choice of
definable formats (reports) and printing the results.

Run on a Windows 95 peer to peer net work and written in any commercially
available database program.

Please reply by Sunday 29th March and I will send you a copy of the
specification by return e-mail as a word 6 attachment. Closing date for
entries is Sunday 3rd May 1998.

The winning entrant will be the designer who best meets our needs with a
stable easy to use system that we can actually use in our business. A cheque
for £250 will be sent to the winning entrant after all submissions have been
evaluated or we find a system that meets our needs. The winner will be
notified directly.
