I have a webpage that looks fine in Firefox but that displays badly in IE6.
I am new at this and therefore cannot figure out what is wrong with it.
The url is http://www.orthohelp.com/geneal/sefardim.htm
In IE6 the column on the right appears under the middle column instead of at
the right. It displays correctly in Firefox. What am I doing wrong in my
coding? How do I correct for this?
Thanks.
Jeff
Please do not take offense, but, your site looks so 90's. You are using
very outdated, bloated markup. Please start by validating your document
http://validator.w3.org then look up some tutorials on CSS, specifically
three column layout.

I am not offended. It was written in the 90's and it used to work but I
recently noticed that it no longer worked in IE. Since learning newer
techniques will take time, is there any way to fix it rapidly using its
present code technique? As you quickly noted, I am no html or programming
guru. Just trying to put out some useful content up.
Looking for quick help
Jeff
P.S. It works fine in Firefox
I did check it with the above validator, but I have to admit my knowledge of
HTML is so meagre that most of the errors it showed were just additional
puzzles for me. Can anyone help me quickly correct the bad code that is
making the page not work in IE?
It looks like learning to program will take me a long time to achieve.

Solved the problem
It the W3 validator led me to the problem.
Jeff
90% of the time, validating will lead you to solve your problem.
