Error Message 2735 Home Publishing 2000

I am trying to install from CD originally came with my pc several years ago,
I'm still running Windows 98, did not have any issues then, but now I'm
getting the following error message when trying to install:

Error 2735. Custom Action Terminated Prematurely:
CatInstall.Standard.962296FE_E6D5_11D2_9A08_0060BOEC3D2E

After clicking OK, it gives me this: "The Installation Wizard was
interrupted before it finished installing the Microsoft Works Suite 2000
programs. There might be insufficient disk space, not enough free memory, or
virus detection software that is currently running on the computer. To
continue the installation process, click Continue. To cancel the
installation, click Exit Setup."

I have plenty of disk space, not sure about free memory, and I shut down my
virus detection software before trying to install. HELP!

I would suspect that you have one or
more dirty or damaged install disks.
