Backup to 外置hard disk

我想係個外置hard disk度backup我部機d野, 但係佢就話因為我個hard disk個format係fat32, 所以唔可以多過4GB,
但我要backup既野至少都有30GB. 咁我有咩方法可以成功backup到我個hard disk度呢?

I bought a new hard drive with the system FAT32. I wanna backup my pc to the
hard drive, and I used the back up stepup, but it said if I can't backup more
than 4GB because my hard drive's FAT32. But what I wanna backup is much more
than 4GB.
I just wanna ask what can I do if I wanna backup the data which's more than
4GB in a hard drive that I bought?

Hi Susan,

This symptom can occur if the hard disk partition where you save the backup file is in FAT32 format.

Partitions that are formatted by using the FAT and FAT32 file system have a maximum file size limit of 4 GB or 4,294,967,296 bytes (2^32 sectors).

When you try to back up your files to a FAT32 volume and the backup data exceeds the maximum file size that is permitted, the backup process may stop and report error. The NTFS file system has a theoretical maximum file size of 16 exabytes (2^64 sectors). If this is the cause, please backup your file to a NTFS volume.

You can convert the partition by using the Convert.exe tool. For additional information about converting to the NTFS file system, please see the "Convert Command" topic in Windows 2000 Help or the following kb article:

After I read the acticle, I've changed tmy hard drive into HTFS partition.
But after I selected the files that I want to backup and started the backup,

Based on the further info, I suggest we perform the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Please first verify if you are trying to backup data to a removable device. If so, test with some other devices first.
