Hello Expert,

In my Environment, there are SMS 2003 SP3 with ITMUv3 English Edition.

In my Case,
when i run the "Distribution Status Summary of Software Updates" Report,
Some of the Patches show the number of "In Distribution Scope"=5,
"Distribution Successful"=4, "Distribution Incomplete"=1. But when i click
the Patch and redirect me to the linked "Software update Distribution status
by software update ID" report. the number of resource =6 and i click the
patch, it really contains 6 different computer name.

Why? and How can i solve it?

My Main Problem is the report data incorrect.

Example: Report A. Instance Court=7, Linked Report B, Instance Court= 6 or
8..etc

If you have advertised this update for a few days, there’s something caused the update failed to install. The cause can be various, since there’s only one client has this problem, I suggest you to install it manually to see what’s the problem.

In Report 152. When you open it. you can see the column "In Distribution Scope"

Hello,

I've a few problems in my test environment and I couldn't test your problem now. I'll re-deploy the environment and check your problem as soon as possible. I'm sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

Since Microsoft doesn't publish the schema of the SMS database, it's very hard to figure out the effect of the three reports.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

I would like to step into this issue as Sean is currently out of the office.

We have tested the behavior in our test environment, but did not encounter the same problem.

I then performed futher research. I noticed there is a known issue:

941039 Some reports generate incorrect information after you install the Simplified Chinese version of SMS 2003 ITMUv3
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;941039

I remember that you mentioned that you are using English version ITMU. However, I would like to suggest that we double check it and apply the hotfix.

To get the hotfix, please use the following web:

Contact Us: Hotfix Request Web Submission Form
https://support.microsoft.com/contactus2/emailcontact.aspx?scid=sw;en;1410&WS=hotfix

Hope this helps.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

The issue may occur if ITMU is broken or out of date. Could you check whether the latest ITMU is installed and upgrade ITMU again to see if the problem can be resolved?

Thanks!
