Hello,

Thank you for your post.

May I know the following?

1. The ITMU version. Is it the latest one?

2. How did you configure the "Microsoft Updates Tool Sync" program's properties? Is it run with the current logon user's right?

If it is with Local System account, it may be unable to update the catalog.

3. Did everything work before?

Thanks for your time and efforts. Have a nice weekend!

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

Please try the following method:

Note: Please perform a full backup first.

1. Open SMS Admin Console
2. Navigate to Site Database >> Security Rights
3. Sort the entries in the right-hand pane by the "Name" column
4. Is the "<YourDOMAIN>\<MACHINEACCOUNT$>" account of the Sync Host in the list? If so, please delete all its entries
5. Right click one of the "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" entries, and then select All Tasks -> Clone SMS User
6. Input <YourDOMAIN>\<MACHINEACCOUNT$> in the New User field.
7. Select the options "Class security rights" and "Instance security rights"
8. Select OK to finish the wizard.

After this, the Sync Host machine account should have the permission to access the WMI objects for SMS. Reschedule the advertisement to try it again. Then check the result.

Thanks!
