I am trying to download the file using IE7 on Window Visa. Unfortunately, the
IE 7 prompt the message that the explorer will be closed and restart again
everytime when I choose to download the files.

I suspect that there are some settings in the IE7 that blocks the file
download operations. I have checked the option in the ID7 that the file
downloading is enabled.

Are there any additiional settings that I need to set in the IE7 to solve
the problem ?

Hello cw2,

Only when IE crashes would it prompt the message said the explorer will be restart. Does this issue occur each time you want download files from internet?

Based on my experience, such IE crash problem could be caused by add-ons, have your IE installed any third-party's add-ins? I suggest you may consider disabling them by “Tools”|"Internet Options”|"Programs”|"Manage add-ons”. Disable all add-ons in IE, and restart your IE again.

Hope this helps,
Best regards,
