Hello Folks,

We are running Microsoft Host Integration Server 2006 in a Windows Server 2003.

Nowadays when we need to reboot the server, we logon to the server via Remote Desktop Connection, click Start, then Shutdown, then Restart. There is no special actions for SNA Server during this reboot process.

However, we found this causes some mainframe VTAM issues for certain JES328X printers, especially SNA sense code 8000 PATH ERROR. Then those printers with SENSE 8000 became unavailable after the server is rebooted.

I was wondering if there is a better way to shutdown the SNA Server nicely before reboot the Windows server. So that the mainframe printers will be automatically connected after reboot.

Thanks in advance for any hints!

Regards,
Hunter
