Posting Question and looking for a confirmation back

After installing either HIS server 2009 server or HIS 2009 client, the
installed README FILE under desktop start, programs, HIS area realtes ONLY to
Biztalk host Adapter Host Systems, which was not ordered, being tested, or
used.

For HIS 2006 client/server installations, the regular HIS readme file that
is available during installation is the actual one installed.

Anyone know if this is intentional, a change for HIS products in the future,
or someone just messed up. Support Groups in the past sometimes refer to
readme file that contain info related to Host Integration client and server
as presented during HIS installation time.

Steve,

The Readme.htm that is included in the HIS 2009 media (under MSI\x86\PFiles
and MSI\x64\PFiles) is the wrong one. It is the one that is titled "BizTalk
Adapters for Host Systems Release Notes". It also includes the link for the
latest version of the BAHS 2.0 readme files.

The correct link if you want to download the HIS 2009 only version is
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=141188.

Note: You can also see the correct versions of the Readme and Installation
Guide in the root of the HIS 2009 media (or download) that you have.

Honestly, the information should be virtually the same in either case. BAHS
2.0 is HIS 2009 + the four BizTalk specific adapters that we have. Only the
information specific to the four BizTalk adapters will be different.

Thanks...

Steve,

Thanks for explaining this. I will update the info Siemens will post to our
internal installation and support groups plus customers.

You can tell the Microsoft HIS documenters the following. This is going to
cause problems and has in the past - very confusing. I went out to the
download areas that is mentioned in the SHORT readme file. Every line just
about talks Biztalk Adapter something and we have been very much burnt before
with other releases of HIS when Biztalk and HIS were mentioned in the same
document. We have had numerous cases where customers went ahead and
installed everything and then were confused as what to setup and use.
Overkill.

I will post something about the real HIS link this but I see troulble over
this. I think best that this information is clearly broken apart in the
readme and install files or just HIS listed if that is all you need and want.

Very disappointed that HIS and Biztalk are not clearly differentiated
better.

Steve,

I had already filed a bug on this the other day. It is kind of hard to fix
this for a released product since it is part of the setup process. We'll
make sure this is fixed for the HIS 2010 release.

Thanks...
