Problems with Wireless mouse interference

Our Church secretary has a wireless mouse and keyboard. I recently
purchased a new Laptop for our Pastor. I got him a wireless keyboard
and mouse as well. He had problems with his mouse being erratic, but
not on Tuesday (The secretaries day off). So I had the secretaries
mouse turned off for a week while she was on vacation, no issues with
the Pastors mouse. She came back (I put the batteries back into her
mouse) and the Pastor started having issues again.
I don't see any kind of switch on the mouse/keyboard to set or change
the channel it transmits on. They are located in different offices
that share a wall (maybe 5 meters apart). Is there anything I can do
to resolve this, or do I need to buy one of them a wired Keyboard/
mouse? Someone else has to have seen this issue.
