Novice trying to generate a general ledger summary trial balance using
Smartlist. GP Vers 10. Stuck on which tables/fields/ hold the account
totals.

There is already an out of the box smartlist that does this. In SmartList,
click on Account Summary and expand. You can now apply search filter for
specific accounts or periods.

There are no tables in GP that hold the account balances. If you're looking
to get a trial balance in Excel here is an option:
