Hi,

I installed my apps with no problems. When I start the application,
error message "Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart
application"
appeared. I'm sure the CD is okay (cuz I tried the same CD on my other
computer,
and it runs fine), and I am sure I inserted the CD to the drive
properly. If
you have any idea how to fix the problem, please let me know.

My computer configuration: 2 EIDE Disks, 1 SCSI Disk, 1 SCSI Jaz (D:),
and
1 SCSI CDROM driver (H:).

Thank you.

Vincent.

How old is the CD-ROM drive and drivers you're using? Some older drives can
have problems if they are using drivers for 16 bit. This is at least
something to consider and check out.

Check the drive letter of the CD now compared to when you installed
the game.

The drive letter for the CD is retained in the game settings and if
you put the CD in another CDROM drive or add a new drive that
reassigns the CDROM designation the CD will not be found.

The other known problem is that some software like virus scanners can
prevent the copy protection software from operating correctly
preventing the validity check for an original CD from succeeding. The
error reported is the one your seeing (asking for the correct CD to be
placed in the drive).

In the first instance either use the same CDROM dive you installed
from or uninstall and reinstall the game (if the drive designation has
changed).

In the second case close all applications in the task list
(alt+Ctrl+delete) with the exception of Iexplore, explore, systray and
the game room tasks (assuming your playing from the zone) just prior
to launching the game. If the game runs properly you can begin to
eliminate the tasks one at a time to determine which is blocking the
copy protection software.
