Directx 9.0x install problems d3dim700.dll

By installing directx 9.0 (a/b) it stops installing when
it wants to copy d3dim700.dll.

I tried to install by expanding the install .cab and then
it wend quit ok (install the .inf files) , but not all is
ok.

It gives the error in gta vice city when I start it up:
"The procedure entry point DdEntry10 could not be located
in the dynamic link library DDRAW.dll"

It does not matter to me, so I continue.

Then it gives the following error in gta vice city:
"Unhandled exeption c0000005
At address: 00640d0b"
This happens when a man gets overridden by a car and has
a hammer.
And the game ends.......

Error in Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness.
At the startup of the game it gives the error:
"Cannot find the DirectX 9.0 Direct3D DLL"

It does not start-up at all!

I have already updated my video drivers, have enough
memory (video/ram), run under XP, but it does not install
right!
What do I do now?
How to install DirectX 9.0 right?

are you using the webinstall or the redist version?
theres a link to the redist version where you get the
webinstall.

I used webinstall and the redistribution version of 9.0a
and 9.0b. I tried everything possible from Microsft.
None of them will work. They all give an error (Unable to
copy a required file), which does not install
d3dim700.dll or the file which is installed after this
one.
