When playing Zoo Tycoon I can begin my game then one of
the following will occur. The game will freez, the screen
will go black and then back to my Hewlett Packard screen.
I can't get out of the game without hitting my power? I
have turned off my virus scan software and have the
correct drivers. Any advice?

Did you install the patch? My game began crashing after I
installed the patch (the first one). I don't know if the
problem has to do with the patch, or with longer playing
time, or with larger zoos resulting from longer playing
time, as they all happened about the same time. I haven't
played the game much since. When I have time I will start
playing again, and if I have problems I am going to
uninstall and reinstall the game from the CD. I will then
load the *next* patch that comes out. There is a huge
lack of support for this game, which maybe is normal.

Who cares? That game is supposed to suck anyway. Consider yourself blessed
to have a good reason to return it and buy something worthwhile like an
action figure from Sonic Adventure or something.
