I found a very ennoying issue which I would like to be solved. When playing
the demo of FSX I found some basic settings which gave me framerates at about
13 (when at the ground) - 25 (in the air). This are acceptable frame rates to
play the game. It runs smooth, I enjoyed the game like that.
Now, I bought the full game, and to my surprise, with the same settings,
same airplane, same day of time, same airport, same weather etc. (everything
is completely the same), the game doesn't run quiet well anymore... In
fact... there is a drop in frame rates for 5 to almost 20 points. The maximum
rate I get now is about 10. The game looks now like a slideshow...
Well you could say, I'd just have to lower my settings... Indeed, that would
solve the frame rate issue... But that would be very dissatisfying. Because
one, the graphics are way less beautiful. Two, I know my pc can handle the
higher settings. Three, the presentation of the demo convinced me to buy the
game, so I'd like to enjoy the game as I intended it!
My question is...
- Why is there a drop in frame rates?
- How can this drop in frame rates be solved...?(if it can be solved without
lowering my settings)
To conclude, it's very misleading when you play a demo... which actually
gives you another performance then the real game does
So now I'm left with a big deal of dissapointment.
Sincerely,
Paco
