I am very tempted to try out FA 3.9 now that the flight modeling has been
fixed and the 1.5X acceleration has been nixed.
When I asked for increased acceleration many years ago. (has it been over 4
or 5 years now since FA 2.0?) it was just for the BOMBERS and not for the
fighters. Taking off at 8000 ft elevation in FA 2.0 and only having to fly
several grids was a sure way to die in a B17. Heck I remember when it was
nearly impossible to get the B17's above 10k without dumping all the fuel
and most of the bombs.
FA 2.5 or was it 3.0 added the increased acceleration to the fighters and
that made energy fighting nearly impossible
I am also glad to see you bringing back FA 1.0 and doing the WWI sim for the
future.
My thought of FA 1.0 back in April 1998 was that I wished it would be better
or equal to Warbirds. Well I think that has been accomplished and
surpassed.
Again it's good to see you back and the increased attention to the game is
appreciated. Someday you may wish to allow input from the old players
without them having to take out a sub. :). I am sure that there is a lot
of room for the Advanced players if you ever want to really go after that
market. I know a lot of guys that left FA 3.0 due to the flight modeling
and the lack of attention to the Advanced Flight Modeling and those rooms.
We use to call it Realistic.

You can read the news group forum to get more information. I have not
played FA since 3.0 as my computer is too old to be competative anymore
IMHO.
But I may give it a one month try when they get the Korean Jets setup.

I don't play FA anymore for many reasons. I use to read your forum for a few
years but had to reformat and lost the link to your forum.
I still read the FA 3.8=92 forums every week. Waiting to see when the Korean
Era Jets get released.
Spending time hunting and fishing these days. FA was too hard on the old
Blood Pressure! And the waist line didn't get any smaller sitting at the
computer for hours at a time.
You will find me in my boat out on the lake searching for crappie and bass
this summer

That will get you to the server, and the main group, though iswiz.politics
is where all the hating, err conversations take place, mostly. LOL
I had been playing an online MMORPG, but am starting nursing school in the
fall, and am trying to study and pass the assessments, so I haven't had
much "play" time.
Take care! Enjoy the outdoors!

I wish you the best. Study hard and you will make a great nurse. I know, I
was married to one for 7 years. My X was just starting her Nursing Career
when I met her. She had just graduated from a two year school of nursing
and was working part time at one of the local hospitals. Man she worked 12
hours on three days in a row and at nights mostly. But then she would get
four days in a row off. When she worked she was dog tired but by the second
day she was off she was rested and had a three day weekend every week. She
could have worked regular 8 hr days 5 days a week but she enjoyed the time
off so much that she was willing to work those 12 hr shifts. She was
assistant head nurse with only a two year degree. She got her associates
degree in nursing.
The hosptials are begging for nurses and you can make good money with that
degree. So you have made a wise choice in that as a career.
PS: You can also work for a Dr and not have to walk the hospital halls. I
think that is the hardest part of the job. All the walking the halls to take
care of the patients. You should expect to see 5 or 6 patients each shift
if you work in a big hospital. At least that's what I remember.

Sword is there (occasionally). CraWwL drops by once in a rare blue moon.
HARD_WIRED, Socrates, GetsumJ, and others are fairly regular there. I don't
get in as often as I should, but real life has me kind of scattered at the
moment. Most of the bickering, err, discussion is in iswiz.politics. (Wear
flame-proof undies before entering, hehe).
How have you been?
I, too, miss the good old days of FA on the Zone.
Take care! Good to know you are still around.

How's the 56 guys doing?
I retired from FA due to health problems. It gave me high Blood Pressure!
LOL
I may return for a bit if they ever get the Jets going. I think that would
be fun.
Look up and you may see me flying one of the Mig 15's above you.
And Ice How you been man. Long time no see.
I come to the iwiz group from time to time just to see if anything is new
with FA. Not much going on in FA these days other than the fact that SHAD
is leaving FA for greener pastures. FA will miss him I am sure.
