To the Powers That Be:

I've played the Zone's spades site for 4 months now and while I've enjoyed
my experience, I would like to know if there are plans by Microsoft to add
support for Game Options such as:

1) Jokers (or having the 2s count as the highest Spades: 2H 2C 2D 2S, A,
K...),
2) Leading with Spades any time,
3) Passing cards,
4) Filtering who can Kibitz a table,
5) The Rest Are Mine support (TRAM) - ending a round early,
6) Changing the Game Over score (250, 500, 750, 1000),
7) Cutting Cards,
8) Allowing for Misdeals,
9) Establishing mimimum bids,
10) Allowing Blind bids other than NIL,
11) Bids of 10 or more counting double

These features are supported in the new Excite.com Spades site and I think
it would be a very welcomed addition to the Zone's spades site to go along
with the best User Interface I've come across. Otherwise, I'll have to
start splitting time between 2 sites as I really enjoy these customizable
options.

Actually, in defense of the current spades system, I disagree with any of
the quarks and bells being added to the spades game in the zone. I truly
believe that blind bids, jokers, twos being high, being able to lead spades,
etc. take away from certain aspects and strategies of the game. Moreover,
many blind bids and the such allow teams that are not really that good a
chance to win. Personally, I think spades is a game that involves quite a
bit of skill, and if the team got themselves into that position by being
inadequate then they should suffer, and if the team had a misfortunate hand,
then let them earn their win and make a glorious comeback. Lastly, two for
ten bids reward a team that got an amazing hand and morever gives them
another 100 points for being lucky! I think points should be rewarded for
being good and not rewarded as punishing the other team for not having good
enough cards.
