I am slowly building a site which has a sub-domain, and will have more as
time passes. The sub-domain already exists and is accessible by typing the
URL into a browser. I can access the main domain via FTP, but I cannot get
to the sub-domain by using the "Remote Web Site Properties" set up box in
FP.
My Web host gave me what he thought was the path, and it is, in fact the
path that I use to upload by using the comntrol panel. But using the same
path in FP gets me an error message that tells me that the sub-domain does
not exist.
Pointers? Tricks of the trade?
Thank you.
Steve E.
If not, what are you entering in the Remote Web site Location box, and
in the FTP directory box on the Remote web site properties?
The location should be similar to ftp://www.example.com
And FTP directory should be similar to subwebname
