I have set up a discussion group. Lots of traffic. Edited out some messages,
careful to pair off <DT></DT> and <DD></DD> <DL></DL>. I am an experience
HTMLer, with over 600 web pages most HAND CODED, so I know a little bit.

Now using FRONT PAGE.

PROBLEM. Now now posts go to the BOTTOM and not the top. I went to my
family_post.htm page and made sure that
b-reverse-chronology="TRUE"

, but I've tried it both ways, and it makes not difference.

I've even CUT and PASTED the
<!--webbot bot="FormInsertHere" DESCR="The FrontPage FormInsertHere
Component indicates the point in an HTML file where you want a default,
Registration, or Discussion Component to insert new results."
startspan --><!--webbot bot="FormInsertHere" endspan i-checksum="0" -->

back to the top (inside the initial <dl> in my tocproto.htm file. That
starts the next messages at the top of the TOC, but always ABOVE the
"FormInsertHere" line.

How do I FORCE new messages to post BELOW the "FormInsertHere" line, thereby
making all new message stay at the top? I've worked on this problem for
WEEKS, read the code of every page here. Seems to be a problem in the
configuration, the WEBBOT, or the FONTPAGE EXTENSIONS software.

HELP!!!!!

Try this (I'm not sure if it works):

Rename the "tocproto.htm" file (the list); rewrite your "family_post.htm"
file with the correct settings; be sure that the "tocproto.htm" file was
re-created, and then cut&paste the content of your old list file.

Just a suggestion, please don't fire me back if it doesn't work.

A little change in my previous response:

When you have re-created your "tocproto.htm" file, cut&paste the "webbot
bot" code to your older list file, then delete the "tocproto.htm" file, and
rename the old list file to the original "tocproto.htm" file name. (it's the
kind of trick that every day we need to do with Microsoft products)

Yap, I'm a little bit sure that this can work. Be lucky.
